And most of these threads are the same people complaining about the 1-2 grind. Mine does it every once in a while, but I don't consider it an issue yet. There's no real reason to wind it out in first gear anyway,* and as long as I avoid doing so, it operates rather smoothly.
I've decided that its better to short shift to second and take advantage of the boost that comes with higher load. Besides,outside of SOF, the majority of owners probably don't drive it like they stole it and never cause the issue to surface in the first place.
