I thought about the vented but it was 160$ more, and I didn't want to have to worry about rain and snow and other crap getting down into my engine. I do like the way the vented looks though

True, thats still a deciding factor but I like the more agressive look of the vent and may have to ignore the real issues for the looks. We shall see when the time comes.

OOOOOOOh i like the non vented hood. I have carbon hoods on my civics and they both are just regular looking oem style.

Honestly if they were the same price and I didn't have to worry about sh*t getting into my engine bay I would have went with the vented. It looks awesome

i will probably be doin the stock replacement one with taxes this year. but, my idea is to put as much into principal as i am into aftermarket parts so mine will be extremely expensive.

Forgive me if you have already answered this Laborsmith...but have you seen any significantly reduced intake temps with the vented hood? Also, does it take your engine longer to warm up in the cold?

He answered the first question a couple months ago, but I don't know the second. It was 10-15 degrees cooler.

Per the Ultragauge there is a significant reduction in the intake temperature.

No noticeable extra time to warm up.
