should i buy these?

I was searching around on Cl for some wheels and i came across a set of bbs wheels off of a rx7. No tires and no center caps they also need to be refinished.

The guy only wants $150 for all four.
I would either need to get them redrilled or run adapters.
Think it is worth it?

depends on whats wrong but deff a yes on the redrill if its a 5x100. if you need centercaps from bbs take in consideration that they run like 200 for each and look stupid if you dont have em'. its all in what you think is worth it man. they are pricey wheels when said put back together all nicely and are not knock offs kinda like i have but i didnt spend a grip on these too haha

Hmm.. No center caps? Can you tell for sure without them that they're real? I don't know a lot about wheels except that usually that's where the branding is. It seems suspicious to me.

Good point. Wheels that sell for $1200 to almost $1500 each are probably susceptible to counterfitting.

I have seen several aftermarket wheels with the company logo stamped on the backside or inside. Of course I cant say they all do that, I know that several do though.

Yeah, pretty sure bbs should be stamped on the backside or around the lugs.

There you go. I figured the higher end ones would be marked in other ways, but had no experience there.

Yes, by the lugs on each rim is stamped "bbs" they seem like they just need a good sand blasting and powder coating. It seems that bbs doesn't make that style center caps anymore, so I'm trying to see if I can find one off another rim that will work. Ill post pictures when I get to my computer
