Hi everyone,
I have a 2014 Chevrolet Aveo RS 1.4T (T300 platform), and I’ve noticed something about the steering lock.
When I turn the key back to position 0 (OFF), the steering wheel locking system engages immediately — even before I remove the key from the ignition.
I know another identical Aveo/Sonic T300 that behaves exactly the same way.
Is this normal behavior for this model?
Or should the steering lock only engage after the key is completely removed?
The steering does not lock while driving or when the ignition is in the ON position. It only locks when turned to OFF.
How is it on your Sonics? Does the steering lock engage already in position 0, or only after removing the key?
Thanks in advance!
