tail light Chrome Comes off!!

so i wanted to tint my tail lights and decided i wanted to paint the chrome around the too, because i hate chrome, and i was absolutely dreading having to mask everything off.

then while i was looking at the light off the car i noticed a bunch of screws and decided to take them all out to see what it would do and i scored on that chance.

the whole tail light comes apart! and then the chrome just has 2 screws each and some snaps.

Shoulda gone with Lamin-X to tint the tails it looks so much better than spray tint, gives it that gloss finish.

That being said, car looks great!! Black and blue go well together.

Why are they too dark, because you do not approve of them??? His lights are not on in the picture and he is not depressing the brake so yes they are "waaay" to dark due to the fact that NO LIGHT IS BEING EMITTED!!!

No one cares whether I approve or not. I know those tails don't meet DOT regulations. Let's face it, there's no way that you can clearly see sidemarkers or brake lights when tint is THAT dark.

Smoked tails I understand but tinted to where you can't see the reflector - that's just silly. And in this case, I approve of cops ticketing offenders, because I think people being able to see your brake lights from - what is it, 500 feet or something? - is damn important.

the way i feel, and this is just my own opinion I'm not saying that I'm right or anything like that, i just feel that id you can't see me slowing down in the daytime when I'm in front of you, you shouldn't even be allowed to own a license.

and if you give me a sec ill post some night pictures and you can see they aren't that dark due to the fact that I've bought brighter bulbs for my headlights and tail lights.

but once again to each his own.

Don't mask any of it off just buy Lamin-x film that way it can be removed and will look more uniform then spray.

If you didnt have your white molded casing around the tails like you do wouldnt that laminx look weird? like two circles and a triangle floating on the tails.

Yeah it wouldn't work, I have wondered why they made them like that but it worked for me so wasn't to important.

im assuming you cant remove the rings on a sedan since the tails are different?
