Tail light options

After blacking out all the chrome on my car the tailights are standing out too much with all that red.

So what are all my options to get those either blacked out or improved in any way. I really like what stormtrooper's looks like but black moldings on black film?

Get the light covers painted to match your car and then tint with the film would be best option if ya ask me.

I Really like that idea but I feel like its not going to turn out nearly as cool as yours with the black on white. Has anyone else tried it having a different color car? But so far that is at the top of my list.

I am surprised that I have not seen a single other sedan go for em but just makes mine more unique . I think mine works so well because of the contrast but will work equally as well on yours if body matched.

Haha well if you think it will work im going to try it. But im probably going to have to pay some one to do it because i dont think i cant do that. the chrome was like $35 and $45 for the tinted film right?

I thought about it..I had them blacked out for a while. I like the stock/slammed look so keeping the reds

If you got the same light covers and the tail light kit from Lamin-X be sure to get a small strip of film for the little cut outs also.

Yeah i bought the tail light film and a 12" by 12" piece, haha i was looking for a vader edition sticker but couldnt even find the stormtrooper one.

Lol, if you want a Vader Edition or a Darth Edition sticker here is the site that I ordered my Trooper sticker from. I found them off an Xterra forum and the owner is a member and makes stickers for different Xterras and I am sure he could set you up a Darth Edition sticker no problem but he doesn't have one currently.

They do have a Shadow trooper one though, he can make what ever you want and is quick with good prices.

Awesome i sent them an email to see if theyll do one , if not ill settle for the shadow trooper. But unfortunately the tail light stuff wont be here until the end of the month. But i did get a new 15% tint today, illegal but awesome.

Another thing I forgot to mention to you is that you will not want to trust your light covers to be held on with the cheap double tape they come with already attached. I trusted the fake 3M they used and almost lost a cover on the highway so I strongly suggest to remove their junk tape and clean the area to apply new true 3M outdoor double sided tape, you will be much much happier trust me.

So it turns out they already have one its freaking sweet!!!! It says Darth Vader Edition but what color should I get because black is'nt going to be very noticeable. so i was thinking red or white.

NICE!!! How well do you like the the Sonic LT emblem in black on the trunk?? If you like how it flows I'd say go black with it, I think the red would look ok but have to see to be certain and plus you're blacking out the only red(taillights) so it would be a stand alone color.

Do they have a picture of the sticker he can send you?? Then you can make the picture RED and print a copy up to place on your car to see if the RED works or not.

Yeah so im a delivery driver and I got people turnin some heads now to look at my ride. I was actually looking at it like all day and decided im getting the red darth vader edition sticker, since i got the red hella supertones and going to do the chrome rings around my headlights red. maybe some red lug nuts , it will work tho. Its going turn out really good

I want to do my black sedan with white accents, so a dark car with an also slightly aggressive contrast will be nice to see. I think yours will look great.

Lamin-x film will be here in 3-10 days
However, the chrome covers said they wont be here until July 7- July 21.
So... meet back in a few weeks.
