Are you asking about adding cruise control to a Sonic after it has left the factory? I would guess yes because of the similarities between the two cars.
All that is needed for the Cruze is a steering wheel with the cruise control controls because the electronic connections are already there. Does not work for the audio etc.
If you are not asking about cruise control, then perhaps a rephrased question will get you a more accurate answer.

As I elsewhere stated, this was an accidental discovery by someone who wanted to upgrade to a leather covered steering wheel. The Cruze and the Sonic (as well as the 3012 Vette and the 2012 Camaro) share steering wheels.

This will be my THIRD attempt to answer a question I believe was asked in good faith. Please do not lock it.
I suspect cruise control can be added to a Sonic that did not have it factory installed by the simple expedient of upgrading the steering wheel to one that already has the controls. This was discovered by someone who wanted a leather covered steering wheel and the addition of cruise control was an unexpected benefit.

Guessing that you should be able to... The calibration should already be there.

So your telling me if I find a cruze, corvette or camaro cruise control wheel somewhere. It should fit right on & plug right into my Sonic? If so that would be awesome! Would the audio controls work as well?

2012 Steering Wheels only. The steering wheels are the same, a topic of great controvery on the Camaro boards and noted with a sigh on the Corvette boards.
