I'm wanting to put in my aftermarket HU, I got my old harness from my other car to fit. And it fit's well enough for now that I'm going to put off buying the $200 kit as long as possible. But I'm curious if cutting off the stock fitting for the current radio and splicing the aftermarket HU wires and the cars radio wires is a good idea.. I mean I know it's do-able. But there's some wires in there that I've never seen before which I'm assuming are for the OnStar, Bluetooth, etc.
So do I just take those ones off after I cut and connect the rest of the wires or should I do something else?
And also if someone could get me a link with a picture(s) of the wiring, telling me which wire does what, that'd help out a bunch.
