Tool of the Day

Called AAA today and asked them to tow my old blue Ford off the dealers lot after it being in service and being declared dead (hence, the new Sonic).

After I raced to get everything out of the car and into my Sonic, I looked over the way and saw another blue Ford being put on a flatbed. So I walked over and just before the driver drove off, jested about how it's seemingly a bad day for blue Fords.

You guessed it - he was there for my 2000 and the dealer gave them the keys to an 2011 that turns out, was there for a tire change!

Yup - that's a tool move lol!!

That's funny, and honest Eric lol.

Maybe if i am going to write that someone is a tool... I should write in a way that makes it easier for those not in my head to know what i am saying lol!

One thing that has always peeved me is the way car owners bash other manufacturers. Personal preference is one thing, but to paint an entire manufacturer's dealers with one image is another. I have had plenty of good Ford dealer experiences and I owned multiple Mustangs with no maintenance other than oil changes.

I hope I'm in the company of like minded people when I say this. Never hope for bad competition. Instead, hope for the competition to be so good that your preferred brand is forced to improve even more.

And now that I read your post again, I realize you weren't really bashing Ford. It just seemed that way the first time I read it. I guess I'm just used to every forum I join to bash something lol.

Well thanks for reading it anyway guys lol. In a sentence - my Ford dealer gave the tow truck that was coming to pick up my old car and bring to the dump, the keys to a new car!

Anyway - yes good competition is great - and I like Ford! But I really don't like the service department at my local dealer! They always blow it as you can see from my post.

As a matter a fact, it was the service department at Ford, that had me look elsewhere! For which I am very glad now!

Well no matter which car you buy, you should always buy it because you like it and not because of the emblem on the front

I'm very happy with my Sonic and I've never owned a Chevrolet before.

And yes, it's a good thing that dealer made you go elsewhere!
