Truedelta reliability data vs your experience

The Sonic 1.4 hb is on the shortlist for my next car, along with the Mazda 3 Skyactiv, which has crazy incentives. Reliability is an important factor in my car buying decisions as I tend to keep cars for about a decade. Reliability is also why I tend to buy Japanese.

Truedelta shows the Sonic to require more repairs than average. That said, Truedelta also says their sample size of 18 vehicles is small, so their info may be skewed. Furthermore the Cruze, a car that shares Sonic parts, has a large sample size and shows itself to require fewer repairs than average. What is your experience? Do you have any thoughts on how your Sonic will hold up long term?

2nd year of productions is always better than 1st year.... Well built vehicle Some complaints are not real issues but customer dislikes the way something operates....

My car is way too new to say, but I got the 2012 with an extended bumper-to-bumper out to 6 years or 100,000 (I think it's 100K).

I want to drive this thing for 10 years as well - i figure if there is any big things going to go on, they should be solved in the first 6.

I'm keeping her, She has grown on me. I have been to the dealership a lot for this car but thats what happens when a dealership doesn't fix it right the first time you gotta go back and back maybe put some pressure from GM to do their job and once the issue is fixed its fixed. Thats what I say for now at least see you in a year to see if that holds true.

My business is within the auto dealer industry. When a car has great incentives, many times it's because it isn't selling so they're trying to move them off the lot. Most people buy cars by price and payment, not the car they'd really like. If a car is selling well there is no reason to load it with incentives. The demand is there.
