Tuning with other Mods

Intake will be here Tuesday. I plan on getting the Cat-Back Exhaust and the trifecta budget tune. If I get the budget tune first will I need to re-tune once I get the exhaust? Or should I get the exhaust first then tune last?

There is no retuning (aka datalogging) with the budget tune.

When you order the tune list the features that you are going to have.

For a cat back you don't really need a retune anyway. With the down pipe all you need to do is turn off the monitors for the second O2 sensor. If you upgrade to a full tune it doesn't hurt to log and update.

You'll need to tune for the intake as well

If he goes with ZZP with the sleeve or DDM he won't "need" a tune. Of course a tune makes the mods actually usable vs the ECM limiting power to stock.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm putting the DDM intake in. Ill receive it Tuesday. So that'll already be installed when I am ready to tune. I'll probably do the exhaust first then tune for everything. Maybe I'll just buy them together

I would buy it together if you can afford it(or buy the tune first, that's what I did), your car will run just fine without a tune it will just learn down the power gains from each mod until you tune.

I did not think the DDM, or the ZZP with sleeve in, required anything other than the budget tune; that the budget tune would eliminate the "dumb down" the stock tune does, and can compensate for the added flow just fine, while you would need a custom tune for the more radical ZZP with sleeve out.

You are correct: ZZP sleeve in or out or DDM intakes work best when tuned and the budget tune is effective for that.
