Hello Everyone,
Glad to get everything finalized over here as a Vendor, we are really enjoying our Sonic 1.4 LT that we have been doing all of the testing on so far. There is also plans for a 1.8L in the near future to join our test fleet, as we want to be able to help with both cars.
Just briefly about us, we started out doing development on the Miata, then the MINI and then really doing a lot of development with the GM products with our Solstice/Sky products. We have really liked working with GM and the Ecotec engines and when the new Sonic came along thought it would be a really neat platform to work with.
As of right now we have 4 different exhausts we can do for the Hatchbacks, including systems for the 1.4 and the 1.8L. We can make the exhaust outflow the stock setup but sound almost stock if you would like, or we can make it scream, whatever you are looking for.
Along with the exhaust we also did a high flow cat for the 2nd catalytic converter and also did a test pipe for this area also.
We have shifter bushings in production now, which will replace the soft rubber bushings that mount the shifter to the car. They are a really simple mod, and it makes the shifter a little firmer and the throws are crisper.
We have also been testing an intake on the car for almost 3000 miles now, and the fuel trims have been almost exactly like stock, so it looks like there will be no need for a retune with our intake, more information on this later.
We have also been testing rear braces/sway bars on the car. I really like suspension mods and the stock Sonic is a lot soft in the back, so we have been working back there on improving the handling. We have what we think is going to be the final design on the car now, but working on validation before releasing it, more information coming on that also.
We have also been working with Vince@trifecta with some of the Solstice/Sky products and will have those available also on the site also.
Last weekend we ran a bunch of dyno tests on the car to test as many different combinations as we could and we will also be posting up those gains and what the best combinations for power that we found.
We have another batch of products we are working on that will be coming once the first batch is all finalized also. Let us know if you are looking for anything in particular and we can see if it is on the list already, and if not we will add it.
Looking forward to working with the community!
Thanks,
Dave
