Just wondering, what are we using for oil pan gaskets?
The reason I ask, I have someone delivering a motor for our 2012 Sonic 1.8L that has a blow head gasket. They said the oil pan is cracked, so I was going to replace it. Looking forward to the future (because it won't happen for a few weeks), when I change the pan I was looking for the gasket. RockAuto and Advance Auto just list a tube of RTV. Is this how they did the "gasket" on these motors.
