Nice I've always been a big fan of the 80s Colts. Those must have been a blast to drive.

They were. the 1984 was a one off model, it had the odd 8 speed twin stick transmission. That transmission was a gimmick compared to a 5 speed, but it worked fine. the turbo would easily spin the tires in low gear
The one to have was the 1989 Colt turbo/Mitsubishi Mirage. the dealer had a silver one that I should have bought.
that car was perfect, except for the motorized mouse seat belts of the period. Car and Driver magazine rated the Colt 1st in a big hot hatchback test. Rated better than the Honda Civic Si, the CRX Si and the VW GTI. It's sad to see Mitsubishi out of the performance car business these days. :blankface:sure, if it's not on fire
