which wires to tap for sub/amp install?

hey guys, im installing my 12" sub and amp into my 2012 sonic lt turbo.

i know how to install stereos and have done it many times before, but since i do like the oem stereo i am not going with an aftermarket deck.

so my questions are.

1. which wire do i need to tap for power signal for the amp?
2. which wires to tap for the oem to rca adapter for the amp input signal?

if you are gonna use something like this then it taps right on the speaker wires.

I'm running the same setup.

Another question, something I didnt think al the way through evidently:

Remote power for the AMP...does the Mylink comes with a remote power on ready to attach?

Which one? Or run to fuse block...

No you can run it to the fuse box or the cigarrette lighter.

splice in or replace on the cig lighter? I assume that will keep the amp off when the key is off correct?

Made that mistake with my very frist amp, killed battery after a few weeks.

Just splice in. It will turn on and off with the key.
