Who has an INNO fairing?

Alright who has an INNO wind fairing setup with their racks? I know several people in the authoritative roof rack thread said they worked great. I have one in size medium and I can't get the mounts to stay flush with the roof very well and the rattling at speed drives me crazy.

Can I experiment with moving my front bar and mounts around so that it fits flush better with the roof or am I missing something?

My racks are Rhino Mounts and Rhino Euro Bars. The instructions were very specific about where on the roof the mounts were to be placed could I move them around so that the fairing is more flush with the roof?

I would not recommend moving the roof rack to fit the fairing. You may have noticed that the door frame is relieved in the correct location to accommodate the roof rack clamps. If you move them too far then you can wind up with your mounts damaging paint and/or metal when you close the doors.

I don't know what sort of hardware is needed to make the Inno work as I built a custom fairing from plexiglass with aluminum hardware.

Yup.. do not move the roof rack to fit the fairing.

My Inno fairing worked fine. Slight tap between 45-50 miles per hour. Minor issue. I used small black bungee cords at the ends... minor issue solved.


They are clamped to OEM roof rack.

If you look really closely at the attached photo, you can see a small shiny thing at one end of the fairing (near one of the protected rubberized "foot"). Thats the one hook of the bungee cord and the other end is hooked to the back of the Inno fairing clamp. Hope this helps but its the only photo have on hand at the moment. Its a very small bungee cord... one on each side.

Curt Basket with its fairing removed. I'm happy with it. I recommend sealing it with silicon after assembly. It pretty much stays attached all the time with straps in the trunk ready at anytime.

That's really nice and I considered doing something like that but my free time is limited right now and I'd rather spend it on something else. Maybe in the future I'll look into building my own.

I've got the GM roof rack with the Inno fairing. Combined there is a slight decrease in mpg but definitely worth it. No wind noise and no rattling at any speeds.

that Curt is sweet ..... will it mount to the euro style bars ? or is it made for the square type cross bars ???
