I saw a post on a header install on the 1.8 and something about getting smaller bolts. Who was that and were is the post I can't find it

I reused the stock hardware to mount the header (no "s") to the cylinder head. Im sure that using a nut without the built in spacer would be a better option, but they seem to be working just fine on my car so far. Down the road I may look into some locking fasteners. I doubt I will ever need them, but if im going to run the car at the track at all they might not hurt.

I believe you were referring to my post, I decided to get new nuts/washers for the exhaust since the stock ones didnt seem to thread on enough for my liking, flange on the new header is beefy.

I would recommend looking into a good high performance muffler/resonator combo too, its quite loud without it. ( at least for me taste )

all the parts ive ordered my dad has in my trunk, the sonic is in his garage awaiting my return to the states!! but yall continue to make me think mine is gonna be too loud.. again I have header, 2.25" piping 25"glasspack and fart can.. maybe ill have to replace the glasspack with a trush turbo.. I fear thrush welded or any other chambered muffler will give it a "pipe" sound like a jeep or something.. I like the rice sound

Does anyone know where I can get these header? BNR I'd out of stock
JAEX.co.UK..the Z18xer header is less than $300 n bolts to the head perfectly. U will have to modify the flange after the collector. Just e mail the guy and he ll take the order n ship to the states. I paid like $340. to my door. If u want he ll even give u your choice of runner size.

Did you not see the stainless header and the ceramic coated header they have. And of course it has the wrong boss location it's not for the sonic but at that price all can be fixed and be worth it at that price point IMO

Listed in the description,but not an option in the pricing area. By the price it clearly stated mild steel. STainless will be much more than mild.
O2 boss is mounted in 1 runner. That is wrong in every application.
High temp paint seems to burn off more often than not. I have only come across a few that seem to hold up. I have yet to come across a mild steel manifold that was painted before being sold that actually held up.
Ceramic coating would not be included in that price listed, but that wasnt listed as an option anyways.
If you can get a ceramic coated or stainless manifold for the same price as a stainless then the company is really doing something wrong somewhere.
Once you have the header, what do you plan to do for a mid pipe? By the time you buy this header, fix the O2 issue, make a mid pipe, and recoat it you could probably buy the BNR header and not have to deal with any of that extra crap.

The JAEX header has the O2 bung in the #3 runner just off of the head. The stock maniverter has the O2 bung in the in the collector area just before the primary cat. Those two locations are not even close to being the same. The JAEX header O2 location is a very bad location for a primary O2.
