I have seen no reason or data as to why the ZZP tune should be above or below any other tunes, save free-retuning from Trifecta/WOT and any other brand that offers it. I would like to point out:
ZZP claims that boost beyond 17psi on the stock turbo is useless because it won't make more power going beyond 17psi, and the stock turbo doesn't hold it well at high RPM's.
ZZP will also work with you to log and retune your Sonic sometime in the next few days after you do the initial tune to log, retune, relog, retune, etc. until the tune is perfect for your exact sonic in your exact setup, and then you send them any of their equipment you rented withing 10 days of receiving it and then they refund you your money for the rent. Because of this rent policy, they are reportedly quick to work with you after contacting them with your tune.
I have no evidence that they won't do just as good a job as any other company out there, and for $200. Granted, if you have to retune after a major setup change, you must pay again. I would buy the hardware for tuning if you know you will retune multiple times.
Because their tune is so new (and cheap) I plan to do their intake and tune at the same time in the coming year. I currently only have a snorkel delete and K&N hi-flow air-filter for intake. I will be sure to video and post results.
Not to mention, the BNR and Trifecta tunes both go to the same company that actually does the tuning, WOT. BNR is just another vendor that sells it, and so is Trifecta. It's really either WOT or ZZP for who is actually tuning. Here is the thread that clarifies on that:
