It's not BNR misleading customers, it's a lack of attention to grammar. Anyone misled has done that to themselves.

It's quite clear what the GTX is and isn't from their site. Anyone I personally know that's done the install has been pleased, and not one of them assumed over 200hp would be expected. People's false expectations and idiots on Facebook are the problem, not BNR or their site

Default BNR GTX, best overall imo

I just love all this dyno number talk. i am amazed at how so many people equate a peak dyno number with power and speed. take the peak number and throw it out because its what its doing before and after that actually tells you how much power you are making. the average is the number that is actually your power, and physics proves it. just think to yourself, how long is it at that peak? in a 1/4 mile using 4 gears it is at that peak for approx 1 second in each gear, thats 4 seconds, our car runs 13s, whats it making for the other 9 seconds? thats whats important!!!!!! i have said it a million times and nobody seems to listen. countless times in my 45 years of building and racing cars i have seen people come to the track with a dyno sheet showing 750+ hp and end up getting waxed by somebody making 500hp that knew what they were doing, there is only 1 true dyno, real life testing and a TIME SLIP. dynos are great for reading changes in power on the same day under the same conditions, but even then we have had differences of 10+ hp and tq on back to back pulls. we have seen differences of 15-20 hp on the dyno having big differences in atmosphere, say 89 degrees as opposed to 60, these engines are very tempermental to air temp.
and i hear some big turbo people saying that BNR doesnt show any dyno sheets,
well i dont see them posting any TIME TICKETS to prove they are faster LOL!!
Blue Moon Sonic and Tormach like this.

Is the ZZP Turbo a modified factory GM unit or a debadged/Modded China unit? $999. Isn't cheap, but seems cheap for a GM unit that is modded. The pics I saw on their site do not show Garret anywhere on it and I have a new Dorman unit I could get modded I guess.

It's a $250 Chinese turbo with a cast wheel.

That's a little disheartening. I pretty much thought that. But, then again, what is NOT made in China these days?

And how are you suggesting that? You know this for sure? No you don’t you just like to **** around, you don’t know.

Eyeluv, it’s not a China made turbo

Its a Garett replacement for the factory turbo. That they have then modified for the bigger wheel and upgraded bpv.

Why would they use a China turbo? They wouldn’t, when they are pushing 210-220 out of these with supporting mods.

What you see in my pics is the exact turbo you’re going to get from them.

You can tell the people who have mentioned negative things on here are bnr lovers. And that’s fine like who you want. They are a fantastic company who makes great parts for our community. But don’t be negative when towards me when I post stuff. And then watch there is going to be a reply of some sorts of “chill I was just joking around don’t take it serious. Just to make me look dumb”.

Anyways I don’t care, do what you want that’s fine. But incorrect information from no knowledge... that needed to be corrected.

Ive had great experiences with both BNR and ZZP. I'm not a brand loyalist, I am a customer service loyalist and I can't say a single bad thing about either. Both have fast shipping and quick emails, it's E-commerce and those are the two targets. However, I know BNR is a factory modded unit and if ZZP is also, then I was trying to justify the additional $600 for BNR GTX Turbo since I already have a tune and injectors. $1000 vs $1600....

I wasn't being negative towards any vendor, I just wanted to know the facts.

You can say it's not a Chinese turbo all you want but the fact is when you search the part number is goes back to geerin from dandong china

Does that mean it's **** quality? Yes,no who knows. Personally I don't care.

For the price your getting what you pay for and it's affordable.

Hell the Vtuners was a rebranded regal auto works that uses used oem cores and a cast wheel

Bnr uses brand new OEM turbo and a billet wheel

All varying in cost
