(OHIO) Years ago I had a modded 2003 VW GTI Anniversary Edition 6-speed and I absolutely love my Sonic so far. I got it on 12/23/16.
EDIT: I also used to own a 2011 WRX. Honestly, I like our Sonics more. Sure, not as fast, but waaaaay more fun for the money.
The Sonic (Intro):
6-Speed Manual Transmission
Leather/Heated Seats
Push Button Start
Daytime Running LED's
6-Speaker Premium Sound
Done Right Now:
20% Tinted Windows / 35% Tinted Windshield
Smoked Out (plastidip) Taillights and 3rd Brake
Kicker ZX 700.5 (5-Channel Amplifier)
Kicker Comp 10" Subwoofer (Sealed)
Rockford Fosgate 6.5" Punch Components - Front
Rockford Fostgate 6.5" Punch 3-ways - Rear
Audio Control LC7i Line Out Converter
Perrin Antenna and Lic. Plate Cover (They're from my WRX - Hey, I like it!)
Black Plastidip Bowties
Iron Metallic Painted Interior Trim
Sunglass Holder Replacement on driver side
Rokblokz Short Mudflaps (Black)
DDM Rear Suspension Brace
DDM Shifter Bushings
Weather Tech Floor Mats
BNR Oil Cap
Orange LED fog lights
26" LED light bar. Why the hell not?
Garage Door Opener Transmitter in dome light box
Headliner-mounted Android tablet for rear passengers
Redline Hood Struts (Amazing!!)
Hella Horns
Doing After Warranty Expires:
Bypass the Bypass Valve Solenoid
MPFAB Intake
Forge Atmospheric BOV
BNR Wastegate Actuator
ZZP Downpipe and Midpipe
BNR 2nd cat delete (Bascally, I have a cat-forward)
BNR Tuned - 22psi
M-Tech Short Shifter
Adaptec Wheel Spacers (20mm front / 25mm rear)
Autometer Boost Gauge
ZZP Lowering Springs
BNR LS7 Coils w/ silver bracket and cover
Ported throttle body intake and added PCV fix
TBD:
Rear Rotor Conversion
Catback
Port the throttle body
What I Love:
-THE PRICE! $16,250
-The handling and overall "feel" of driving it - so much control.
-The stick, which is soft and forgiving puts me nicely in charge.
-The looks. It gets hotter every time I look at it.
-17" black rims ($1000 savings)
-The legroom. I'm 6'6".
-Inexpensive mods!!!
-Seems very easy to work on since not much has changed. (EDIT: The shifter arm is different from previous years. Use M-tech Q2 instructions.)
-People underestimating its awesomeness and potential.
What I Don't Like:
-The armrest. Seriously, WTF?
-Rear drum brakes? LMFAO. Those are going bye bye some day.
-No garage door button. C'mon Chevy?!? I FIXED THIS.
-The "Premium Sound" is meh and has been replaced.
-Lack of front cabin storage while no center console/armrest exists. I just don't get it. Not at all.
-People underestimating its awesomeness and potential.
-The rear view mirror sucks. I've already called onstar (EDIT: twice) accidentally. (EDIT: Haven't done this in 6 months)
