Is 2013 MyLink touchscreen capadable with 2012 Sonic stereo harness

I was wondering if I bought a 2013 mylink touchscreen for my 2012 ltz hatch, if i buy the new fascia for it. will it just plug into my stock wiring harness and be fully functional. Or does it not work like that. will i need other stuff?:sadbanana:

dont i already have one lol onstar gives directions through my radio already i need an answer that is serious before i give my friend a 100 bucks for one

Will need so much that your mind will boggle and your wallet will run screaming for the hills. Head unit, fascia, wiring harnesses, skunk works bcm flashes, and who knows what else. Prediction: $2000 plus labor.

I could be wrong.

But I doubt it.

If you want to be the first person to go for it, I applaud you. Probably much cheaper to put in an aftermarket unit...

To reiterate: NOT PLUG AND PLAY..

But if you can access the electronic schematics and are adept at assembling wiring harness and have a couple of thousand for the hardware, by all means go for it. Ofer has assembled all the hardware, is adept at making wiring harnesses and still has not succeeded for his Camaro and he has been working on this for months.

it would be a cheaper option to just sell your car and buy one that has it already equipped. Thanks GM for making this an awesome option for us tools that bought into your first year production car and can't use ;-p My hopes is that peripheral makes a better steering wheel adapter, i heard that the one they make now isn't all that dependable. I would love to add in a double din at some point. I loved the sound at first but I find myself at almost full volume now and its not enough, and I dont really like the looks of the stock deck.

I didn't have much choice, only had 16k loan available, and this car was my only sonic option....

I have carefully established a history of violating Rule 1 and have never felt a need to abide by Rule 2.

I do not understand Rule 3 but I also have carefully established a history of picking and choosing what I want to understand as well as what I do not.

It can be done if you can override the security codes. I plugged it up and it cut on for 15 seconds then the security code kicked in
