ZZP (and others) exhaust decibels?

So I'd really like to look into getting a ZZP catback w/o muffler, but the only thing I'm concerned about is how loud it is. In September I'm moving to Germany and they have a -90db limit on exhausts. It's measured from the tailpipe at a 45 degree angle to the driver's side at both idle and at 3000RPM. Edit: Measurement taken at .5 Meters (1.64 Ft) away from pipe, at pipe level.

What do you guys think, would it pass?

Additionally, if anyone has access to a decibel meter and is willing to test their setup and report back with results, that would be sweet. :banana:

IMO 90dB at the pipe is going to be difficult to meet without a muffler if even possible. I do have a meter but my Sonic is stock. Though when I had my 92 C2500 with a flowmaster 40 on it and a highflow cat it was above 90dB even at a idle and forget about 3k.

Out of curiosity are you even allowed to bring a car with US emissions equipment to Germany?

I'd also think the amount it would cost to ship it would make it not worth it.

I highly doubt this will work with no muffler. He's probably military which means he won't have to pay for the shipping cost, and he'll get some leeway on local laws regarding importing foreign cars.

With just my magnaflow cat back I would highly doubt if it was over 90 decibels.but I no lover have the rest of the exhaust stock to test that. It was pretty quite for a system though

That is 90dB at the pipe not in your drivers seat or standing by the car. 90dB at the pipe is pretty easy to achieve.
Also keep in mind 90dB at say 50Hz sounds quiet compared to 90dB at 5KHz. This is just an example I'm not saying the exhaust is at 50Hz.

Is there anyone at ZZP you could talk to? I know when I was into buying Flowmaster stuff they were very helpful on the phone.
