Default 1/4 Mile Times...... Get in here!!!

I know there are an assortment of quarter mile threads but I want to dedicate a thread for everyone to post their ET's and related advice.

Rules:

The best time is the fastest time. Regardless of how you got it as long as it was with a Sonic.

For the top 5 spots:
Time slips shall be verified by posting a pic of your car showing a track number matching your time slip, or by posting a video of the run that includes the time shown on the slip.

In the event of a tie, the participant to get that time first will be given the better standing.

As the times are posted, I'll continue to edit Post #1 with the Rankings.

Also, post the altitude next to your time. That way we can see the difference in elevation and how it affects the times

Elevation of Sac. raceway is 100 ft.

Made 9 passes today. All in the 16's. Started out crappy while getting use to the track. Started getting better on 5th run. Made 4 passes within 45 minutes so I was dialed in pretty good. Ingen Intake, summer tires, and Eibach springs are my mods.

5th-16.38 @ 87.4 mph
6th-16.13 @ 87.53
7th-16.17 @ 87.54
8th-16.28 @ 87.17
Last run I had an hour break so I lost my groove. 16.64 @ 86.53 with .188 RT which was best RT of the day for me.

Advice...Don't dump the clutch or slam on the gas on launch or any shift. Let the clutch out kind of slowly on launch and shifts, and roll on the throttle.

Prolly should post what engine the car is equipped with and the modifications that matter as well.

You may have had an hour break but how much did the temp change outside or the temp even in the track surface....

My time improved considerably when I shifted at 5500 as opposed to 5000, and crossing the trap still in 3rd gear.

Also I finally figured out what the "card slot" was intended for.... Holding time slips.

My best was run #4 and #5

#4 16.432 @ 83.441
#5 16.477 @ 85.642

Sedan 1.4T 6M with RNI and cutoff at the second cat.

The sedan weighs so much more than the hb but I'm still glad i got it.

Temps did drop at least 10-15 degrees. As for the track, no idea. But there were no runs for that hour. Track got cold. I felt it in my launch and knew right away it was going to be a slower time.
