18" rims

So a friend of mine just took some 18" rims off his car and offered them to me to repay a debt he owed me. I dont know a whole lot about tires so excuse the question if its been answered before

The current tires on the rims are 215/35z/r18. Will these fit without rubbing on my sonic?

Im not sure on the offset of the rims i have to check was just wondering if that size would fit overall on the sonic. Free is nice afterall.

A bigger problem will be fitting the rims, as the Sonic has a unique pattern (5X105 PCD) and would likely require adapters (which are not inexpensive) and if using adapters to get the proper bolt pattern the offset will be altered.

Once those items are solved, tire fitment will seem like childsplay. But I would guess the tires mounted on rims that fit would fit w/o rubbing.

what he said. what's the bolt pattern on the wheels? that might make your rim life a whole lot easier.

If you reveal the bolt pattern of those wheels we can determine if you will need bolt adapters for the new aftermarket wheels you got from your friend for free.

The rims came off another car, so it is a pretty good bet he will need adapters. Good thing they were free.
