Good morning,
I have a 2013 RS. Current mods below:
-Eibach lowering springs
-Front and rear aftermarket sway bars
-MPFAB Intake
-MPFAB Anaconda downpipe
-ZZP Catback
-Trifecta tune
-Fast Hayaku wheels with Michelin Pilot tires
Along with taking care of chrome trim in the next few weeks, I am interested in taking this car to the next level in terms of performance. Here is what I'm thinking:
-GTX14 Turbo Kit
-MPFAB Intercooler
-Bypass Solenoid
-Ported Intake
-Bosch 52lb injectors
-BNR tune
-BNR Flex Fuel Kit
Here are my questions:
1. Is the turbo kit REALLY a bolt on modification? I imagine it would be pretty straightforward but I would like to see a PDF version of the installation procedure so I can get an idea as to what I'm getting myself into. I have requested this from BNR but I haven't received a response (this was last week).
2. I know MFAB does a great job making his parts install easily on our cars. Is his intercooler upgrade similar? Does anyone have a PDF of that installation procedure?
3. I want to push the stock clutch to its limit. When the time comes for a new clutch, I will be getting an aftermarket unit to handle additional power. With this being said, are the 52lb injectors the right choice? I have noticed that the 42lb injectors are more popular on here. Is there a reason for this?
4. I currently have a Trifecta tune and I have heard great things about the BNR tune along with the service that comes with it. Although Trifecta's tune is solid, their service is not. Can I expect any issues to occur switching from the Trifecta tune to the BNR tune?
5. I would obviously like to install the new turbo and the intercooler at the same time, however, my instincts tell me that this may not be a wise choice. Should I install them individually, drive the car for a while, and make sure everything is good before installing the other? I'd hate to install both, find out that something is terribly wrong, and not know which unit is the culprit. Thoughts on this?
6. I'm considering running E85, however, the flex fuel kit from BNR has been out of stock for a while. I don't see that a lot of you guys are running E85. Is there a reason for this?
Any additional input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much in advance.
