Just now saw the new look for 2017, and while the interior looks improved I do not like the exterior. At all. I'm in my mid 40s and this looks bland and generic to me, so how are younger drivers going to like it? I'm really not usually one to consider a car on style points but the Sonic stood out in its bracket. Not any more. At this point it looks like bits of two or three different cars grafted together, awkwardly, a generic front end, a different kind of generic rear end, and only the Sonic midsection we have come to know and love.
Guess I'd better go on taking good care of my 2014. I have to also mention that while I'd absolutely consider another quad headlight Sonic sedan as it's a perfect package for me, the hatchback is too short for my skis and a bit tight for just throwing a bike in the back even though I think in general it's appropriate for the marque -- just not for me. If I go for a Chevy hatchback of some kind in the future it will be the Cruze.
