I'd swapped over to Lucas 75w-90 synthetic awhile back because I was getting the 2nd gear grind during high RPM, quick shifts.
It remedied the grind but made normal 1-2, 2-1 shifts cumbersome until warm, and down right annoying with winter temp shifts.
Just recently switched to Amsoil 10w-30 Syncromesh and it was a TON better shifting with a cold trans, normal shifting was also marginally improved, and still no hint of any 2nd gear grinding during quick high RPM 1-2 shifts.
It's as good as the guys on Cruzetalk claim, and I'm immune from placebo affects and shy away from the bandwagon so I was skeptical of the "massive" improvements at 1st.
