The seats are not bad but they could be better . that what I get for buying a subcompact . The car I owned with the best seats was my Volvo c70 .
I believe the Sonic seat are some of the best. If anything a tad soft. Lumbar is lacking, but for stock they are great. If you have issues finding the correct position, adjust the wheel and seat at the same time.
The Cruze seats are unacceptable.
The more upright you have the seatback the more they do that, conversely the more you lean the seat back the less that happens.
First thing I did was reverse mount those headrests. Now it sits on the same angle as the backrest. Unsafe against whiplash though. Wish it had lumbar support instead if the armrest. Got spoiled by other cars I've had.
Nothing too bad, really.
I find the seats good for a car in this price range. The driver's side armrest is useless IMO. How the designer could have sat in there, pulled the armrest down, and said "this is good" is beyond me.
The real head scratcher for me is the steering wheel adjustment. All the drivers in my family have it in the fully up position, including my 5'-3" daughter. Why is it adjustable if the full range of adjustment is only useful for people <5'-3"??? Did anyone even try it before they started selling them?
i'm 5'6" and the armrest is quite usable and I have my steering wheel almost all the way down.
