Bluetooth names?

I did an extensive search of the forum and could not find this posted already which kind of surprises me.

For the first time last night I paired my Android phone with the Sonic. That works but what I find odd is I have to say the number I want to dial. If I say a name, it trys to dial numbers from it.

Does the Sonic not work with a phones contact list? When it asks for name does it actually mean of the device rather than contact name?

You can also do this to use voice commands directly from the phone.

I use the pass-through feature and call through my Droid X2.

You push the BlueTooth button, say "Voice" and you are now talking directly to the phone.

I wish the OnStar calling feature would work better though. I don't memorize phone numbers, except for some very frequent ones.

no problem man. My 2012 will use Siri, but it's a little buggy. maybe the 13s are better.
