Brembo 4 Piston Brakes Available

We are happy to offer the Brembo 4 piston GT Brake package for the Sonic.

The Brembo Gran Turismo 4 Piston Brake Kit for the Chevy Sonic comes with 2 piece floating hat and rotors, with your choice of Slotted or Drilled. The 4 piston calipers are available in Black, Red or silver. The kit also comes with caliper adapter mounting brackets, front stainless steel brake lines and Brembeo Brake pads.

Price for the front setup is $2708, on the higher side for sure, but if you want the best, this is it.

Do these clear the factory wheels? That is the number one problem in the Subaru braking discussion, so I had to ask.

I am certain aftermarket wheels would be needed, particularly for the 15" and 16" wheels.

It is hard for me to imagine someone opting for a big brake kit and not for aftermarket wheels.

I notice JusticePete is planning on the Brembo Kit is also planning on Forgeline 18" wheels.

I agree. It is a Brembo kit therefore should not be much different (well, admittedly much can have a wide ranging meaning) than replacing OEM w/ OEM. Its the kind of thing we used to do in the driveway. Many years ago, when we were young and didn't no any better.

Seriously, everything should be there and if needed I'm sure someone in your gang can help. And its a new car, its not like anything is frozen in place.

But 15" and some 16" and even some 17" rims won't work. Usually people upgrading sport compacts (or sub-compacts) brakes are well on their way to upgrading rims. So allow me to suggest you check w/ your dealer before taking the plunge.

Nice of them to throw the SS braided lines in with the kit, but then again, when you spend over $100 at the store for "beverages" it's customary for them to throw in ice at no-charge.

$2700 + $270tax = $2970

I'm sorry, but there's really no excuse for this kind of tag.
- SS lines $150?
- Race pads $150?
- caliper adapters $250 (at best)
- Brembo calipers $600 (at best)
- 2-piece rotors $800 (at best)

Even if you round it off to $2000 these are still overpriced.
First-to-market, Niche market, excuse, excuse.

Super quality, specially made StopTechs aren't even that expensive.

I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm saying this is a seriously priced package.
You have to be hard-up to throw down this kind of change.

I agree that it is a chunk of change especially on a car with the price of the Sonic, but some people have chosen to get them.

Once we get dug back out here, there is some nice 4 piston calipers that we have used on other projects that will make a nice upgrade for a lot less.

Trust me, I've seen guys spend alot more on brakes than that, just not my bag and it's good when people look before they leap.

I'll be interested to see what comes out of that other package.
