Great Upgrade.
I just got done installing the GM performance suspension on a 1.4 LT.
This is a great upgrade to extract more fun, speed and handling out of your sonic. On stock suspension the suspension felt boring and didn't really feel connected and mushy..This feels a lot better and tightens up the chassis.
Now I have the DDM rear brace and the performance suspension and she feels good.
Install was a bit of a PITA with having to compress the front suspension. The coil compressor I used was available at Autozone where I bought it. I don't know why GM doesn't just offer this kit with the coils already installed with a top hat. The top hat is the only thing missing and wouldn't cost much more to include.
You need a 24mm offset wrench or pass through wrench for the front. This allows you to lock the shaft/strut with the torx bit while loosening the 24mm nut. The only place that I found that sells a 24mm pass through wrench was sears. Harbour freight, HD and Lowes didn't have them.
For the rear you need a 15mm offset wrench and a crescent wrench will do. Harbour freight has an offset wrench set for up to 19mm.
I used a battery torque wrench on the first coil compressor. It helped a lot until the bit broke in half from so much force. Keep that in mind if you are going to use one.
I think I paid $350 on eBay for this.. Well worth the money.
