Evo X or STI?

To me, the Sti wing on the sedan is reminiscent to the Cobalt SS.

IMO though, you should go lower first.
With the exception of track cars, I can't say I'm much of a fan of big wings anymore (I admit, I loved them back when I was like 11. Hahaha) but to each their own.

I remember somebody on this forum was thinking of putting the Cobalt SS spoiler on their Sonic. Can't remember who it was though. I'm already going to get the Eibach springs. Just got to wait about a month to get the money for them. Currently I got the tint, rims, tires, and exhaust I already have installed if you have seen my YouTube channel All that is left is the shark fin which I have already ordered but am waiting from the shipper (BNR) to paint it to match my car. Then going to get the Eibachs and THEN it will be spoiler time!

Im in on the sedan needing a spoiler only I would rather have a small subtle lip like on the cruze rs rather than a tall raised wing personally. I thought I saw a black sedan on here trying to sell aftermarket wheels that had what looked like a balt ss wing or possibly as SRT spoiler? I searched but came up empty on pics...If I remember correctly it didnt look horrible

yea u can get a lip spoiler from gm for the sonic. i did a drawing of the sonic with the mugen civic wing. it looks good. i just need the measurements now..

The most difficult part about the measurements is that I was at a Chevy dealer a few months ago. They had a used Lancer on the lot. I tried to take measurements with a rule of the trunk but it already had a spoiler on it. Then the side of the trunk curves a little bit. So each time I measured it I got a different number. Then when I had my Sonic measurements it seemed to only be 1 or 2 inches off.

Sadly I believe that if I want to try any of these spoilers I will have to buy them and be the guinea pig to see if they fit. I remember when you posted that idea about the Cobalt SS wing that another forum member posted their measurements I thought. From the measurements of the Lancer I took I believe it will be near the edge or a little wider then my trunk deck. If it's too close to the edge I think it won't be able to install anyways. I saw a few pics of people installing the STI spoiler on different vehicles (new STI wing on older Subarus) and also on a Nissan Altima (facepalm) so the STI spoiler will probably be less wide for the trunk deck.

But I think the Evo X spoiler would fit the lines of the Sonic great. Next time I go to a car show I will try to act undercover and measure some other peoples spoilers. But it is so difficult to measure when by yourself because the ruler will not be 100% still/accurate

Here is a Cobalt SS wing. Though I feel like it may be too small. Looks horrible on the Ion and Cavalier. (Obviously I'm not putting stripes on a spoiler)

Would be interesting to see an extra Si Mugen R, Evo X, and STI spoiler on the ground (not attached to a car) for comparison to see what fits. Sadly I don't have the money to order all 3 to find out...lol

Frankly I'm having a hard time judging which one because I think both look terrible. But at the end of the day, it's your car and your preference. If you want to weld a flaming pink dildo onto the roof then rock on, that's the joy of car ownership.

Good news is I parked next to an EVO X today at the Best Buy. Just for fun I tried to measure the width of my trunk using my arms and hands. I think the Sonic trunk is too narrow for the EVO X spoiler. But of course I didn't have a ruler with me. Also I noticed that the base where the spoiler connects goes inward quite a bit and hangs over the edge of the trunk. Don't know if that make a difference with width or not.

and i was gonna say, try the cobalt wing. it will prob fit better than the others
