Exhaust Hangers?

Hey guys and gals, I finally got my DDMWORKS exhaust installed.

However the middle hangar keeps slipping out, just wondering how you all get your's to stay in?

I don't want to jack the car up every time it slips out. I'm wondering if I'm better taking this to an exahust shop to see if they can fab up a clamp or something.

Have you loosened everything up and tried readjusting it so it fits properly? You're the first mention of this problem I have heard.

Ya i just re hung it on my lunch break got under the car from the backend lol.

The middle rubber piece for the DDMworks doesnt seem to fit the hanger really good. I noticed the rubber hanger bottom hole doesnt seem to go through all the way.

I think im going to take it off tonight at my buddies house and see if i can take a screw driver and make a hole through it. Then Re-hang it

Huh, maybe try tweaking the hanger on the exhaust to get it to fit the factory hanger.

Well i checked the hangers again, Im going to rig something up might end up using good ol fashion Duct tape.

The exhaust keep sliding out of the middle hanger for some reason, I dont have a resonator on mine so maybe the vibration with the bumps in the road. I think this is making the exhaust slide out....

So i think if the Duct tape doesnt work ill switch out my hangers for some universal hangers off ebay.

I found the problem last night the piece on the mid pipe was welded on back to far. So it would barely fit in the hanger, wrapped some duct tape around it so it won't slide out so far so good. YAY!

I've read about using a coat hanger. I'm sure that would work if you wrap it around tight enough.

I hope this will not cause a heart attack, but yes, coat hangers, conveniently reshaped, have most definitely been used to hang an exhaust. And duct tape has extended the life too many exhaust systems to try to count.

I was just thinking, if you could drill a hole in the hanger rod you could use a washer and cotter pin to hold it all on and it will not be affected by heat like 100 mph tape.

Was thinking something like this would maybe do the trick it's a little pricey i guess. But it would be a more ideal solution...

My bad. Not duct tape. A tape for exhaust systems but frankly it has been so many years I can not recall what it is called. Unless, maybe, tape for exhaust systems.

It's basically exhaust pipe tape, your local auto store will carry it, but might know it as exhaust pipe repair/patching tape.

Drilling will take a drill press with a good clamp and a tiny bit and size match cotter. It might not be feasible on a small, solid piece of stainless but, it was just a thought that popped into my head. Good ideas don't come often so I share them when I can.....

lol, exhaust tape sounds awesome and the tin.... least there's DIY options here
