Front struts

I do all my maintenance on my Sonic, and when it comes time to replace the struts how hard is that to do? Or should I take it somewhere to have it done?

If you dont have jack stands and arent very mechanical, take it somewhere. Ive had mine out 4 times. I got quicker and quicker at it. I can have both out in about 15 minutes.

i have jackstands I should be able to tackle this,do you need any special tools for removing struts? I have replaced shocks before.

Not really special. Just a few specific ones. I know a 24mm socket, a 19mm and 17mm deep sockets. A few wrenches. Theres a thread on here titled "Installed new springs today" It has a list of all the tools you will need. And a step by step on how to do it.

It's not a difficult process, but the order of operations is important.

Watch a YouTube on it if you've never done it before.

Yea man, its not hard.
Since you havent done it before, check out this video, its fairly similar for all cars.
