Having Fun With PhotoShop

Hey everyone, I decided to take a Grey Sonic Picture and put it into Photoshop and play around with it a little bit. I First Changed the Color of the car From Grey To Yellow. Then Changed the color of the Rims from the flat silver to a nice white. Blacked out the Bowtie Emblem. Then Added some white stripes with black borders. and thus, here is my rendition of a Super Sonic!!! :banana:

Will post what The Picture looked like "Before" and then "After". I Actually think the sonic looks mighty nice in Yellow. Cant believe they didnt Offer it in Yellow. Just imagine the "After" Picture with the 3D Carbon Body Kit and The Spoiler I have on my Sonic. Yeah that would be one Awsome Sonic I think!

I'd Say Slap on a Supercharger to this one and Have it actually increase the HP on the engine (say 180hp+ at least), Dual Performance Exhaust, Intake, and Tune and call it the Chevrolet Sonic SS Supercharged.

well i will be honest here, i didnt care for the cobalts one bit so im not sure what your getting at about them. If you could be so kind to elaberate a little about that to help me out in understanding why you said what you said that would be appreciated. But either way a nice upgraded engine would be nice for those that want a sports car version of the sonic and im not talking about the RS either. Its what it is, i have nothing against the RS other than they didnt upgrade the engines HP any. So a turbo or supercharged SS would be great available in both hatch and sedan mated with a nice 6spd manual or something. give it a nice body kit thats clean and a decent spoiler for the sedan version and chevy would have a hit on their hands.

Ok, i got that much from what you said. But I was asking why do you feel that the supercharged version was such a flop compared to the Turbo version as i didnt follow the Cobalts because well, i thought they were POS junk cars and just didnt ever get into them. so i didnt follow/read up on their versions and such. What was it about the supercharged version that made it so bad? Thats what i was asking about. thanks... Sorry if i didnt word it right.

Ah, my main point was that the supercharged was significantly less powerful that the turbo. I'd like to just see a turbo model and avoid the less powerful model.

The supercharged LSJ engine makes 205 hp at 5600 rpm and 200 lbs at 4400 rpm.

The turbocharged LNF engine makes 260 hp at 5300 rpm and 260 lbs at 2000 rpm.

The LNF was released because the LSJ failed emissions for 2008, and GM's contract with Eaton expired, but the LSJ just shouldn't have been made. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE superchargers, but the turbo just made more sense.

Thanks Eric, That makes alot of sense. Now i get why you said what you said before. Yeah, that definetly sounds like a supercharged version wouldnt be worthwile like a Turbo Charged version would be. Especially if GM has a track record of making a not so great engine with the supercharger. So i agree with your previous statement, If they do a SS Sonic, Turbo Charge it for sure! But make sure if they use the 1.8 they rebuild the engine some and strengthen the internals and make the HP output alot more than the stock version, id say 200hp at least or more with all the other mods i mentioned before. Now that would be one fast sonic. and would be worthy for the name of Chevy Sonic SS. Thanks for the explanation.
