Aha, you have the 1.4L non turbo, not available here in the US; we only have the 1.8 non turbo and the 1.4 turbo.
I wonder if it's really as simple as that, or if the 1.4 NA (naturally aspirated, the correct term for non turbocharged/supercharged gasoline engines) is a whole different engine with just coincidentally the same displacement. If it is, though, I would think you could get a turbo assembly shipped to you from the states and install it, a lot simpler than the folks who are trying to put a turbo onto their (never intended to be turbocharged) 1.8 NA's.
Hey Dirt,
It will be a real pleasure to drive beside you and your friends.
I have one question for you, can you ask to your friends how and where they did find the US model?
This morning, my chevrolet's seller tell me that even if I purchased my Aveo in the last august, my car doesn't exist yet. The factory didn't build my car. So I have two choice:
1) I can cancel my purchase.
2) We continue with my contract, but my car will be build in january and I have to wait until june to have my car. And I have a very bad feeling about it because they can build a bad car with a lot of problems just because they don't care about us.
That's why I want to buy the US model.
