Hid install

I baught a set of his h11... I went to hook them up and the adaptor doesn't fit the headlight oem adaptor in the head light itself. I was wondering if thats where i hook into or is it somewhere else on the headlight

I think you'd need to hook it up to the low beam connection itself. The power still needs to be brought into the headlight from its original power source. Post a pic of the connection for clarification.

Ok nm guys/girls i got them to work... The problem was the connector wasnt making the correct connection so i had to fix that and now they work

Question for anyone who installed hid's... Where did u guys mount the ballast and how did I put the cover back over the bulb housing

I cut mine out, ran the bulb wires through, then sealed it with strip caulk.

For the balasts they are double side taped to the sides of the engine bay to help keep vibration down.

Ok ill play around with it today when i get home. I gotta move my ballast bc there getting a lil to hot

hey, I know this is old buuuut, can you throw up a photo of how you cut and caulked? I want to install but don't know how to bypass that cap

This is not from a sonic, just googled for a reference pic.
First drill hole (not the correct size in pic)

Then run wire through and secure grommet. Apply some sealant underneath the lip of the grommet.

Done.

what did you do about your light sensor? my sonic would not work when the DRL are on due to not enough volts.

Adding a relay will solve your issue.

I did install a relay but the DRL circuit won't power my relay either. I hear it buzzing. But If I manually turn on headlights my HIDs would work.
I ended up disconnecting my light sensor. It works like that but makes my HIDs on whenever I drive it.
