How to remove side marker light/housing?

Today noticed that one of my side marker indicator lights (or fender light - not sure) was blown (along with one of my brake lights) - who knows how long I've been driving around like that. Brake light bulb change over looks easy enough. Anyone have any experience removing the side marker housing on the side of the car? Tried to use a plastic pry tool and wouldn't budge, and didn't want to break it

Thought I'd ask on here first and no doubt someone has done this when doing a complete LED swap?

You might have to remove the splash shield to see what's going on from inside the fender.

These lights aren't on the North American version of the Sonic. Only on the Aussie Barina and possibly the international Aveo.

Thought that might've been the case after watching a few YouTube videos. Didn't know about the Sonics not having the side markers. Thanks for the help

Had another crack today, except used a flat screwdriver wrapped in a microfiber cloth to prevent scratching the paint.

In short, it was a success!

If anyone is interested, it's a wedge style bulb (I think it's a T10 bulb).
