Idle rpm dropping

Hey...new to the boards.

I have an issue the dealer can't seem (or care) to figure out. My rpm drops randomly at idle, almost like the account compressor is on....but its not. The car shakes a bit then idles back up to normal. Kind of annoying. Any ideas? Plug gap? Mass air flow sensor? Thanks.

Have you checked the plugs? Coil plugs? Make sure the springs aren't bent into the rubber and use a needle nose pliers to stretch them out.

Is it only during cold starts? Certain temperatures?

There's no special time it seems to do it.... I bought new plugs, was going to throw them in and see if that helps. I also threw a bottle of injector cleaner in this last tank, the same stuff I use in my built Dodge diesel and it works well. Seems to idle a bit smoother, haven't noticed it drop like it used to. Hmmm....

It's done it since new though. I put my zzp intake on yesterday...the stock filter was fine. Just changed the oil so it couldn't be that. It seems like it's cleared up a bit after the injector cleaner/intake install so I'll see how it goes.

My idle is rough when its cold, but otherwise I don't have any issues. I will say that copper plugs helped me tremendously with hesitation and bogging at low rpm.

I have a similar issue at cold starts (not cold temperature, it's been sitting a while) it will have a rough shaky start and the rpm will drop and the motor will die or rev to 2k and then drop and die.

if I turn off all interior power like the fan and stereo it seems to not have a problem.

if I start it and I left the air conditioner on, it will die if I don't turn it off.

after 15 secs of running it doesn't have any issues.

is that what you are talking about?

Just bought some iridium plugs...we'll see if that smooths anything out.

No....this has nothing to do with cold starts, alternator draw from electrical components, or even the a/c compressor. Just think, sitting at a stop light after the motor is warmed up, no a/c or defroster on, and the rpm just takes a dive to about 550 for around 3-5 seconds, the car shakes a bit and then jumps back up to normal. It hasn't died yet. Very odd. I'm thinking it's a sensor issue somewhere. It has smoothed out after the ZZP intake and a couple bottles of fuel injector cleaner. Barely noticeable now.
