Installed some B and G coils on my 13 RS..

Hey guys I installed these B and g coils on my Rs last weekend it was fairly easy to do although compressing the RS spring take off and B and G to put on was a little time consuming , I seen a do it yourself article from a member in the suspention section and it said it took 3.5 Hrs ? it took me almost 6 hrs but well worth it saving a few hundred bills ... the B and G are a little softer in my opinion than the RS springs the ride is still close to the RS ride these were 1" drop I had liked at least 1/4" to 1.5" more but I paid 163.00 on auto anything not bad and the Eihbacs were like 229.00 and up as well as H and R so I thought man 100.00 or more for 1/4 inch ??? i taped in with the RS springs ground to edge of front fender 26 1/4 " and rear 26 7/8 with the B and G the next morning 25 1/4 and rear 25 and 3/4 or so 1'" as they claim anyhow this s how it came out .

The springs will settle a little and will get a little lower.

I think your the first rs to run b&g!

163 is a steal.

Mine are the original prototype set of springs b&g made. I have 30k on them and still love them.

6 Hrs Bro whew .... I was beat Like a bongo after that although the rears were super easy .
I seen some pics of the rear springs on your ride My coils at top and bottom have some spring left (not fully Collapsed ) looked like yours on the bottom were completely flat ? or collapsed ? i installed them with the # stamp up so you could not really tell if there was a top or bottom looked the same to me I looked on the Band G website the sonic application does not even come up wonder if they are still in production ?

Wow those are a lot cheaper than the Eibachs, did you use any special discount codes? I might pick those up instead. $ub$onic was the drop on yours close to the eibachs?

Yes it was, on the original shocks it was 1.4 inches


First time spring install took 2 hours. When I swaps to rs struts and shocks it was a hour and a half

Great! Thanks $ub. I'm looking at doing just a spring install also I will probably change to Cobalt endlinks since I'm so close.

He's on RS suspension though keep that in mind.. So its going to be lower already than regular Sonic suspension. IMO the perfect drop is RS suspension and lowering springs..

It looks Lower with the Shadow in the Fender wells there is plenty of gap between the fender and tire still but it is very noticable in the front it has been Lowered at least on mine the rear needs to settle More ,, C mon Dad Gummit I was thinking that as well spend over 120 more for just a 1/4 " with other Springs ? I bought them before Christmas so they were 20% off right now I think there year end sale is 15% off and my 2cents I bought a k and N filter( not Cold air) for like 28 bucks at the same time I was smoked at how much Gain I got after putting in the Filter I guess it likes the turbo or something but I am happy with it ....... No,,, CEL at all under WOT

After I swapped to rs struts and shocks it took them like 2 weeks to fully settle. But I also had a lot of miles on then. Even when I originally put the shocks in they had miles on them.

So not sure how long a brand new set will take

I checked it out Im still only 1" hoping for the 1.4 been around 3 weeks but I am only going 4 miles a day to work not much change yet .......they are a good buy and Nice springs.
