Installing Hella SuperTones

Yeah i have no idea what i'm doing haha. But i think i finally got them mounted to where i can get the bumper back on. Although it still doesn't seem to fit well.

I only paid $43 for them so they didnt come with instructions, plus i'm stupid.

Haha took all day but i finally figured it out, got them mounted, wired in, and bumper back on. If anyone needs help its pretty easy once you figure out what goes where.

Looks nice, they accent the head light rings quite well.

Haha, looks good mate. Mine came with straight brackets. You do any bending or is that how yours came out the box?

there's the link, just on ebay. I love how the headlight ringss and horns match, except id like to paint the rings to be more glossy like the horns.
Put anynyway, all hella tones come with the straight universal bracket. It turns out it is really hard to drill thro the crash bar with only wood drill bits. so i made my own brackets to bring the horns back and still be able to use the existing holes

looks good, however is there a drain hole in the "bottom" of the horn? That's a "in your face rain torrent" orientation... Those horns can stop working once corrosion & debris gets in there (you can take them apart & clean...but that' removing bumper again)..

I put my Sickspeeds below the windshield wiper reservoir and the same spot on the other side...enclosed and out of the rain's way...

Does look sweet though!

Damn! Well we will just see how much maintenance they require, there were several other places I could of mounted that would of been way easier but i mainly got them for looks cuz how rarely i use my horn. How are those Sickspeeds compared to the hella horns?

Oh, I'm not saying they will stop...just that they can. I had some on an old Omni GLH, didn't work. But you take them apart (the outer ring of screws & nuts there) and it comes apart. It's a really simple design. just being behind the bumper now makes them a task to get to...I was going to put the Sickspeeds there, but realized bumper removal was too much!

This really useless shot shows my installation up under the fender, just had to remove the front part of the inner wheel well liner.....doesn't look nearly as cool as yours

The Sickspeeds sound just like the Hellas IMHO. I youtube'd them...sound the same. I'm not sure of decibel level, but my work buddies say they're loud.

I admit there are A LOT of screws in the way of taking the bumper off, but it slips on and off like nothing. I can do it in like 5 minutes now. It was so worth it for that look.

Hey guys, I know this thread is pretty old but I'm about to install my new Hellas and need some help. I want to have them mounted like getthebiscuit does, but I have no clue about what size bracket, bolts/screws, or drill bit to use to mount them. Wiring is gonna be easy, Im just not the best at custom mounting and couldnt find any info on just that.
