I don't know anything about the lamin x. But yes you can remove the vinyl. Heat gun/ blow dryer will make the job of applying and removing easy. I first did my tail lights with a black tint vinyl, didn't like the way it came out. Reason because I didn't come out good. I hadn't used a heat gun. The vht would be difficult to remove. Which would require sanding it down. You can look on YouTube for ways to apply and remove techniques.

I used vht niteshades for the tail lights and corners. As for the fogs and lights I just used a yellow vinyl tint Metro Dark Yellow Vinyl Fog Light Lens Tint Film 24"x12":Amazon:Automotive
