Car: 2015 Sonic LT Sedan, 1.8L Automatic with Cruise Control
Weather: Extremely hot (95-100) and humid. Little wind. :sadbanana:
Driving: 85%+ highway, 70-75 MPH.
A/C: Fan set to 1-3.
My average mpg is 26.4.
My car has 580 miles on it now, bought new, and I haven't zeroed out the mpg calculator since it was on the lot. It had about 90 from the dealership. It has slowly climbed every day I drive, but it's just now at 26.4 average. I drive mostly highway, with cruise control on, and there are a few hills but mostly flat.
Since I'm supposed to be averaging 27 city and 37 highway, can the miles from the dealership really be dragging the average down that far.. or is something up with the car? The dealership miles would be ~15% of the total miles driven. Am I missing something here or is the mpg pretty far off from normal?
