myLink problem

Whenever I click on the 'smartphone link' at the home screen, the pandora and stitcher app are kind of faded and don't work.

Even though my phone is hooked up, it gives me this message

Is this normal, or?
How do I fix this?

Looks like you just had the Update possibly done and it not installed correctly, Take it into the dealer.

I've had the car for a month and a half. It has never worked. I didn't really think much of it. I saw a thread about the apps and wondered if it worked on my car yet. It didn't. I guess I'll be taking my car to the dealership Saturday.

Mine is the same way....IDK what phone you have but iPhone4 does not connect (atleast mine doesnt) via bluetooth for smartphone apps.

I do know that some droid phones do

I have pandora on my phone, but it doesn't pop up.
I Have the 4S.
Whenever I play pandora on my phone and click on bluetooth, it plays.

My iPhone 4S is the same way. Phone has to be connected via USB for these apps to function. Meh.

I dont know why everybody gets upset when they say your phone has to be plugged in with the usb cord to work. Im glad you have to. do you know how much battery your phone uses to stream media.

I think there is an update you can get for your Mylink radio from the dealership that will, quite specifically, improve bluetooth connectivity for iPhones. It also will add the ability to use Siri and to get TuneIn and some Nav program that uses your phone's brain and the car's touch screen. I'm taking mine in to get upgraded next week.

mine is updated...had to use the usb sitting in the service bay

So, the update worked...sort of. There are apps there, however, some work better than others. Pandora is a champ. Stitcher works pretty decent, once you've got some content setup. Tunein works very sporadically. It doesn't display stations unless I've set them as a favorite, and then will sometimes stop playing your station. Tunein on the phone(s) have worked like a charm, just not when connected to Mylink. Anyone else seeing this?
