Need Help With BOV install

I'm looking for some help on how to install the forge BOV. I know its just 3 simple torx bolts that need to be removed but but after spending a few hours after work today I cant figure out how to get to the bolts to remove them. I've done some searching around on the forums looking for some guidance but haven't had much luck. Can anybody who's done the install give me any tips or at least point me in the right direction?

I removed the intake, used a 1/4" ratchet with a torx head on the end, a couple extensions, and a lot of contorting my arm between the various hoses and lines. It is not an easy spot to get to. Using a magnet to hold the bolts helps keep them from dropping down into the engine bay.

Yeah, take intake tubing off, use long extensions. If you have a magnet stick tool use that too as you undo the screws. Will help catch them as they are about to come out.

I'm getting the bov and silicone coolent hoses, once I take the coolant hoses off and intake off it shouldn't be that hard of an install right?

it's just a tight fit. Coming in from the intake side with an extension works, it's just important to not lose the small screws....or pull the socket off the extension... and lose it in the depths of the engine.

Im thinking you could stuff abunch of paper towels or something down in there some how to catch the screws maybe.

I noticed there is a hose going to the OEM recirculating bov what do I do with that hose when I get the atmospheric bov? Just block it off?

Should be a fitting on the BOV for you to attach it to.

So after several hours of fighting with the car yesterday I was able to complete the install and upload my BNR tune. Now I must day although it was quite a tedious process I must say the sound of the Forge BOV is just perfect, I just love the crisp sound it makes, totally worth all the work to get the stinkin thing on.

Also not sure if someone can help me with this but during the install process I had to crawl under my car do get one of the bolts I dropped and found this cap looking thing on the ground and after searching underneath the car I cant for the life of me find where it goes, Anybody know where this thing may have came from??

Yea. It's the valve for the stock bypass valve. The stock BPV consists of a plastic cover, a spring, and that valve. Since you installed the BOV, you don't need that thing.

I've had all sorts of problems running the forge bov. So I have to switch back to stock.

Got it fixed but now, it doesn't blow off it blows off when I accelerate at first, if I let off the gas and then accelerate again it doesn't to it. The waste gate is letting air out instead of the blow off valve. Pretty sure I need a new turbo but that will have to wait, its still driveable just a little quirky.

Pinch ingenuity at it's best! I love seeing different ways of getting around a bad situation. Definitely in the top 10 best, list of "tricks". I won't be doing this mod, because my 1.8 doesn't have one! Doooogh. (Homer Simpson)

Here's what I did. Used one of those claw pick up tools and put a tip from a magnetic pick up on the end. Helped to keep the screws from dropping into the engine while unscrewing and held it in place the same way when putting the new BOV in.
