Wow, I rarely go over 4000RPM! Decent power for everyday driving around 2500 for the 1.8L. 3000 gets you 75MPH on the highway, I don't generally go over that.
Hit 6000 up a hill--once--just for fun...

Will have to see what kind of MPG I will get once temps hover over 45F to 50F in Spring.
With the 1.8L and automatic, it seems to shift pretty early. I use the Manual Mode some days and the car seems to like shifting at 2,000 to 2,200 for a bit better zip. Not sure how much it dings MPG. Based on an earlier posting maybe 2 to 4 MPg?
Overall, I'm pretty happy with 30 to 32 MPG 50% city stop/go, 25% semi rural with a fair amount of stop signs, and 25% interstate thrown in. But only have 2,500 miles on the engine so far. After 5,000 or 6,000 miles I hope for a little better MPG, but not much.

I have a 90 mile round trip on a state highway doing 65, an interstate doing 75 for half of it, and last about fifth on a backroad doing around 45-50.
It’s most of what the car drives and I average around 32.5 in my ‘13 1.8 LT automatic.
I recently changed all 4 tires for a set of Arizonians. Gonna reset the avg mpg and see if they make a difference. Due for an oil change too.

I just bought my my 2012 a couple weeks ago and have been having lots of fun with the DIC. I've been hovering in the 31-33 mpg range but on this last fill up I decided to see how high I can keep it. I do roughly 25 miles a day in urban/suburban driving. Right now I'm at 37.8mpg! My goal is to be north of 40mpg but not sure that's realistic given traffic and stop sighs/lights. Glad to see others are getting those high mpgs!
