So I brought home earlier this month a 2013 LTZ with the 1.4 turbo and 6 speed manual transmission. It only had 36k miles on it but it was discovered that it was popping out of third gear so the Chevy dealership I bought it from had dropped a new transmission in it before I took it home. Now, it has some notchy shifts (especially between 1,2,3 and 4) and I am aware that fluid issues are common in these cars and I should try dropping some Amsoil in it to solve the problem but with the transmission being new, is that something that is going to void any of the warranty that is left on the powertrain (1 year) or should I take it to the dealer with the problem and see what they will do? I have the ability to change the oil myself so that isn't a problem. Just looking for some advice on what route I need to go with.
On a side note: I love the car so far. It was spotless and well taken care of for being 4 years old. And coming from a 2003 Suburban I am grinning every time I pull up to the gas pump.
