Ok oil cooler changed
It's pretty simple. It's right behind the exhaust manifold.
Steps:
First remove heat shield. (Pita).
The loosen all exhaust manifold nuts (10mm)
Unplug O2 sensor
Remove 3 1/2 nuts holding exhaust pipe to cat. (Cat is part of exhaust manifold)
Remove two 3/8 head bolts holding cat to engine, underneath by flange.
Remove dipstick tube, it's an o ring that holds it in. Drain oil first before removing dip stick
Remove exhaust manifold. I also removed both engine hoist points (12mm head)
Once manifold is removed you can see the oil cooler. Remove 4 t-30 screws from the tubes, one at waterpump and one at thermostat housing.
Remove 5 3/8 bolts from cooler and slide off last tube leaving it in place.
You do not need to buy new tubes but... get all new seals from the dealer. Like $10 in total
Make sure rubber seals come off with cooler
Then clean everything
Then replace cooler
Re attach tube to water pump and thermostat housing
Install manifold.
Bolt up flange.
Re attach o2
Add coolant and oil
While everything was apart I cleaned all threads with a tap and die
Everything was put back together with anti seize
All in all I had zero frozen nuts or bolts and took about 2.5 hours to change everything over
Hope this helps
