Question about checking fluid levels

I must confess that since I normally have my oil changed at the local GM dealer I rarely look under the hood. That being said...How the heck do I check the antifreeze levels! lol I can't look in the radiator since it is hidden. lol I have a 2012 LT if that helps get an answer from someone. Thanks for any help. BTW, the reason I wanted to check the levels is because my heater/defroster will sometimes turn cold for a minute them back to hot. I figured I might be low on coolant.

I believe you'd have to check the coolant level that's in the reservoir.

And you do not have to open the reservoir to check it since it is translucent. The level should be at the seam when cool.

And it will be lower if it's hot. Unless you release the pressure
