Question about fitment 17x9.5

You'd need to run something like a 245 or 255/40/17 or wider. These sizes are close to the OE tire height (24.7 and 25" respectively).
If you buy your wheels with the right offset, no adapters needed.
OE offset is 41.5 on the factory 17's. This might need to change with the wider tires though. I think there is someone on the forum running 245's.
Just as a guidline - if you run a 255/40/17 on 9.5" wide rims with the same 41.5mm offset - the tires will be 2" wider than stock - so you have 1" going toward the suspension and 1" going towards the outside.
The 9.5" wide wheels will be 3" wider than the stock 17's - so with 41.5mm offset - the rim face will be 1.5" further out (for you flush fiends).

Look at mpfab's thread. 9.5 is most likely too wide.

Yes. If you want the wheels then buy them, how you get them to fit is up to you.
I recommend you dry fit them without tires to see how they look. Put them inside the wheelwell, get a close measurement for your spacers. Look around to see what clearance issues might be obvious.
Once you get assets and tires and everything is mounted, then take a test drive, inspect for any rubbing or clearance issues...
Worst case = the wheels don't work and you can resell them (keep your current set just in case)

I guess I didn't word my post how I meant. 9.5 fit for MPFab, it just wasn't a straight forward thing... you're definitely at the car's width limits with a 9.5 it seems.

that depends on the offset of the rim . you need to know the offset of the rim b4 you can figure out what size spacers you need . also if you plan on lowering the car , you might want to do that first . then buy wheels to fit your set up . ive watched friends spend thousands of dollars on rims only to find out that they dont fit after spending tons more cash lowering the car.
